About Kentaro Miura

Kentaro Miura was a Japanese manga artist known for his dark fantasy series Berserk. Miura was born in Chiba Prefecture, Japan, on July 11, 1966. He began drawing at an early age and was influenced by a wide range of artists, including Go Nagai, H.R. Giger, and Gustave Doré. Miura debuted as a manga artist in 1985 with the short story "The Berserk Prototype." He began serializing Berserk in 1989, and the series quickly became a critical and commercial success. Berserk is known for its dark and violent themes, its complex characters, and its stunning artwork. Miura passed away on May 6, 2021, but his legacy will live on through his groundbreaking work.
