My name is Kimberly Smith, and I am the mother of two African American sons who both graduated from the Ivy League. I am also the author of the book, *How We Home Schooled Our African American Sons to the Ivy League.* In my book, I share the story of how we home schooled our sons, the challenges we faced, and the lessons we learned along the way.

I decided to write this book because I wanted to share our story with other families who are considering home schooling their children. I believe that home schooling is a great option for many families, but it is not always an easy path. I hope that my book will help other families make informed decisions about home schooling and provide them with the support and encouragement they need to succeed.
